Greek giants Panathinaikos have reportedly joined PSV Eindhoven and Sassuolo in the race for Inter Milan castaway Mehdi Taremi.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, they’ve identified the Iranian striker as a perfect short-term solution to fill the void in attack.
Indeed, Panathinaikos are on the verge of losing star center-forward Fotis Ioannidis to Sporting Lisbon.
With Conrad Harder set to join AC Milan, the Portuguese side are pushing to sign the 25-year-old.

Ioannidis has been Panathinaikos’ standout performer in the past few years.
Therefore, the club cannot let his imminent departure go unanswered.
However, time is a problem for the Greek powerhouse, with only a few days left until the end of the transfer window.
Pressured by the time limit, Rui Vitoria’s side could make a desperate move.
Despite putting the 33-year-old up for sale, Inter have yet to find a suitor, with time ticking away.
As such, this could be a win-win deal.
