Former Inter Milan President Massimo Moratti has reportedly “reacted well” to treatment for pneumonia in intensive care.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Yesterday, legendary former Inter Milan President Massimo Moratti was admitted to hospital due to breathing problems resulting from pneumonia.
The 80-year-old required intubation to stabilize his condition.
Moratti was Inter Milan President between 1995 and 2004, and then against between 2006 and 2013.
During Moratti’s time at the helm, the Nerazzurri won multiple trophies. Most notably, he was President when the club won the European Treble during the 2009-10 season.

In recent years, former Inter President Moratti has had some health complications.
Two years ago, Moratti, who is also the son of another former Inter President in the form of Angelo Moratti, underwent an angioplasty.
Therefore, there are naturally serious concerns regarding the condition of the aging former President.
However, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Moratti has “reacted well” to treatment.
Therefore, it’s possible that the 80-year-old could even be extubated today.
So far, Moratti’s doctors have not yet made a decision, reports the Gazzetta. However, they will monitor the course of his condition today.
And if the former Inter President’s condition continues to improve with treatment then doctors could decide to extubate him today.
