Nkunku started the 2-1 win against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup on Friday night, but there have been questions about his future since January.

Chelsea have made three attacking signings already this summer in Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, which has pushed Nkunku further down the pecking order.

Manchester United quoted £35m to sign Nkunku

There was a lot of excitement surrounding Nkunku’s arrival when he joined for £52m from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023.

However, injuries have plagued his time at Stamford Bridge, and he doesn’t appear to suit Enzo Maresca’s system.

It’s been reported Nkunku has decided to leave Chelsea this summer, and the Frenchman has attracted interest from both Bayern Munich and United.

United have reportedly made contact with the camp of Nkunku, and The Mirror have reported the Red Devils have been quoted £35m to sign the 27-year-old.

The report adds Nkunku is on the shortlist at Old Trafford, whilst Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins is another target.

Nkunku made 27 appearances in the Premier League last season, but could only mange three goals and two assists, whilst he found the back of the net five times in the Conference League.

Noni Madueke could also leave

Nkunku might not be the only attacker to leave this summer, with Noni Madueke attracting interest from Arsenal.

Madueke is believed to be open to joining the Gunners, and Chelsea are thought to have set an asking price of £50m for the England international.

The 23-year-old is under contract until 2030 at Stamford Bridge , but his possible departure could pave the way for the Blues to sign West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus, who’s also attracting interest from Tottenham, and is thought to be valued at around £60m.
