Chelsea have launched a £55m bid for Borussia Dortmund’s 20-year-old winger Jamie Gittens according to Caught Offside.
The Blues are once again set for a busy summer and have already completed the £30m signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich, whilst they are looking to add a centre back and right footed attacker.
Chelsea face a critical window and could look to fund their business by selling as many as seven or eight players with a number of squad members surplus to requirements.
There’s set to be movement in the wides areas with Chelsea said to be open to offers for Noni Madueke, whilst it was confirmed on Tuesday that Jadon Sancho would be leaving the club.
Estevao Willian will arrive after the Club World Cup, whilst Geovany Quenda will arrive from Sporting Lisbon in 2026.
Chelsea have identified Gittens as a target and are said to “love” the winger, whilst they want to complete a deal for the 20-year-old before the Club World Cup.

Fabrizio Romano has reported negotiations fort Gittens are going well, but Caught Offside have reported the Blues have made an offer of £55m for the England under-21 international.
The report adds Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are all interested and it’s unclear if Chelsea’s offer will be enough.
Gittens scored 12 goals for Dortmund last season with eight in the Bundesliga and four in the Champions League, and Chelsea are said to be leading the race for the winger.
Gittens isn’t the only name on Chelsea’s list and the Blues are said to also be interested in Nico Williams and Alejandro Garnacho.

Williams has been described as a “dream” transfer target and the Spain international has a €58m release clause in his deal, although wages are likely to prove a stumbling block in any move.
Garnacho has been told to find a new club this summer and Chelsea were interested in the Manchester United winger in January, and he could be available for around £40m this summer, although it’s unclear if the Blues will reignite their interest.
