Chelsea have been linked with a number of goalkeepers as the club weigh up whether to strengthen that position, with a new name added to the list according to reports.
The Blues have had issues between the sticks this season with Robert Sanchez making a number of errors leading to goals, and he was dropped after last month’s defeat to Manchester City.
Filip Jorgensen, who joined last summer has fared slightly better, but made a howler which cost the Blues the game against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Dane recorded a confidence boosting clean sheet against Southampton on Tuesday night, but it’s still hard to ascertain how good he is given his lack of games.
The Blues also have Djordje Petrovic on their books, who’s performing very well at Strasbourg, as well as highly rated teenager Mike Penders, with Chelsea said to have high hopes for the pair.
Given the vast outlay on goalkeepers in recent windows Chelsea are still lacking top quality in that position and have been linked with Borussia Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel.

Chelsea have also been linked with Parma’s Zion Suzuki and Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher, but TBR Football have thrown another name into the mix.
They have reported that Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen is a name that’s appeared on Chelsea’s list, and add the Dutchman fits everything Enzo Maresca is looking for in a keeper.
TBR Football report Chelsea’s interest in Verbruggen isn’t new and they looked at him closely before he joined the Seagulls from Anderlecht in 2023, whilst they claim Chelsea’s hierarchy are in agreement a new keeper is needed this summer.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Blues have done business with Brighton, and you can imagine how supporters would feel if they went back in for another player from the club.
Verbruggen has played well this season and has kept six clean sheets in 25 Premier League appearances, but right now it would seem unlikely the Blues would make a move for the 22-year-old.
