Seko Fofana has been registered in time to make his Stade Rennais debut against OGC Nice on Friday night, however, he is not expected to start against Le Gym.
Former RC Lens midfielder Fofana made his return to Ligue 1 earlier this week, signing for Rennes for a €20m fee. However, he will have to settle for a place on the bench with Azor Matusiwa and Jordan James set to start in the middle of the park. There will also be a place on the bench for Baptiste Santamaria, who is expected to leave Rennes this January.
The likes of Amine Gouiri and Jota, both of whom are struggling to lay down starting spots, are also likely to be on the bench. Albert Gronbaek and Ludovic Blas will likely play either side of Arnaud Kalimuendo.
