Feyenoord and Al Nassr are expected to reach an agreement this week on a transfer for Dávid Hancko, according to Voetbal International. The 27-year-old Slovakian will most likely fetch a record amount for the Rotterdammers.
Hancko has been strongly linked to a summer transfer to Al Nassr for some time now. This week, ‘white smoke is expected to finally appear’.
“Al Nassr are prepared to pay a transfer fee that will probably break Santiago Giménez’s record”, it is said. Last January, the Mexican striker left for AC Milan for 35 million euros. Feyenoord hopes to collect an amount of around 40 million for Hancko.
At Feyenoord, the defender still has a contract until the summer of 2028, but there have been mutual agreements about a departure this summer. Earlier, Al Nassr already made a bid of 32 million euros plus four million euros in bonuses, but that proposal was turned down by the Rotterdammers.
The expectation is that an agreement will be reached this week. It is said that the defender himself has already personally agreed with the Saudi club.
“I have never made a secret of the fact that I am having a fantastic time at Feyenoord, but at the same time I would like to move on,” Hancko said previously. “But if those clubs do not agree with me or choose other players, I will not do anything with that wish. We will see how it ends this time.”
Hancko has played a total of 140 matches for Feyenoord. Yarek Gasiorowski is in the picture in Rotterdam as the Slovakian’s successor. The Valencia defender is expected to make the move to Feyenoord this summer. He was previously of interest to Arsenal and RB Leipzig. In Rotterdam, they are confident that Gasiorowski will make the move, despite the fact that an initial offer was rejected.
