An update on the plans of the powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid to secure the signing of LOSC Lille sensation Leny Yoro has on Friday been provided.

And the news will no doubt be met with widespread excitement on the part of the Real faithful.

This comes amid confirmation that, despite claims to the contrary from some sources in the media, Los Blancos are not prepared to wait until next summer to bring Yoro in.

Instead, as confirmed by the reliable Mario Cortegana, speaking as part of ‘The Four Amigos Podcast’, Florentino Pérez and co. intend to thrash out a deal for the 18-year-old over the coming months.

With Nacho primed to move on, and David Alaba still sidelined long-term, the Real Madrid brass have made the signing of a new central defender a priority with a view to next season.

And Yoro, it would appear, has emerged as the ‘chosen one’ at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Not only that, but Cortegana adds that the Frenchman himself is very attracted by the prospect of taking his talents to Spain this summer.

And, in a final boost for Real, the Lille brass are understood to be more amenable to working towards a deal with Los Merengues, than Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
