Real Madrid are looking to reinforce the left-back position with Alphonso Davies next summer. Recent weeks have seen the Canadian international’s future thrown into the air once more but there is reason for Los Blancos to be optimistic.
In case he does not arrive, however, the Merengues must keep their options open and Theo Hernandez is one name linked with a possible move to Spain in that case.
The player, after all, is far from being treated well at AC Milan and is enduring a torrid relationship with the manager Paulo Fonseca.
Looking ahead, there are several factors favouring his departure and Real Madrid may be interested in his profile.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport now reveal that if left to Theo, he would prefer to stay. However, he may well leave in January or in June for a figure around €50 million or even lower given his situation.

Until last summer, it appeared that the player would only leave for an offer of €50 million or above but that has changed in recent times for several reasons.
For starters, his relationship with the manager and form worries the club. Coupled with his contract running out in under two years, it gives the Serie A side impetus to sell him at the earliest.
Everything will boil down to his relationship with Fonseca but, at the moment, a departure in January cannot be ruled out. The question thus remains whether Real Madrid see him as a candidate or not.
As revealed earlier this week, there is a good chance the club may not even consider him an option if Davies does not arrive as they see Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia to be superior options.
In any case, his name will be linked with the club for months at least and it remains to be seen what comes of it.
