Real Madrid are considering a £46 million ($60 million) bid for Huijsen, but Chelsea are also in the race to sign him. According to Cadena SER (h/t GOAL), Madrid are eager to land the young defender, who made his Spain debut last week and has impressed in his first Premier League season with Bournemouth.

Chelsea are keeping a close eye on him as well, but it remains to be seen if Bournemouth will accept an offer below his reported £55 million ($71 million) release clause.

TEAMtalk previously reported that Newcastle United have made Huijsen their top target for the summer transfer window, but another club is currently leading the race for the Bournemouth defender.

Moreover, the report says the Magpies have contacted the Bournemouth central defender’s agents and expressed interest in signing him.
