Real Madrid are reportedly preparing an audacious offer to secure the services of Chelsea’s Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez, according to a report from Fichajes.

The proposed deal would include a €40 million payment along with the permanent transfer of Turkish wonderkid Arda Guler, signalling Los Blancos’ intent to find a long-term successor to Toni Kroos.

The German maestro’s retirement has left a massive void in the Madrid midfield, both in terms of quality and leadership. And while the club is stacked with young talent, the need for a true midfield conductor remains.

That’s where Enzo Fernandez enters the equation.

Real Madrid like Enzo’s profile

Enzo, just 24 years old, has been one of Chelsea’s few consistent performers in a turbulent period for the club.

A World Cup winner with Argentina, he is admired for his composure, intelligence on the ball, and ability to dictate tempo from deep. All qualities that Real Madrid value highly in their pursuit of the next midfield lynchpin.

To sweeten the deal, Madrid are willing to offer not just €40 million in cash but also Guler. His inclusion in the deal is telling as it reflects how serious Madrid are about signing Enzo and how far they are willing to go to convince Chelsea.

Still, the Blues are currently not keen to let the former Benfica star go. Despite their struggles, Chelsea see the Argentine as a central figure in their long-term project.

However, financial pressures and an attractive package involving cash and a top-tier young talent like Guler could tempt them to reconsider.

To complicate matters further, Atletico Madrid are also interested in the midfielder. Diego Simeone is believed to be a big admirer and has pushed his club to explore the possibility of signing his compatriot.

That means Real Madrid will need to act fast and decisively if they want to avoid a bidding war and secure their man early in the summer window.
