According to a report from MARCA, it has come to light that Real Madrid are preparing a special farewell ceremony for Lucas Vazquez once the team finishes their campaign at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Like Luka Modric, Vazquez will be leaving the club after the tournament in the United States.
While Modric received a standing ovation alongside Carlo Ancelotti during Real Madrid’s final home game, Vazquez is still waiting for his moment to say goodbye in front of his teammates and the club’s staff.
So far in the Club World Cup, the 34-year-old has only featured for 25 minutes, which came during the first match against Al-Hilal.
Since then, he has not played at all. But despite limited time on the pitch, Vazquez has handled the situation with the quiet professionalism that has defined his long career at Real Madrid.
This season has been tough for Vazquez. He was called to fill in at right-back during Dani Carvajal’s injuries.

Despite facing criticism at times, he never let outside opinions affect his dedication or performance.
His teammates and coaches admire his positive attitude, saying, “He’s always a pleasure to work with. He’s an irreplaceable member of the team. Always positive, never negative.”
Even with Trent Alexander-Arnold arriving, it has not changed Vazquez’s approach. He has always been ready to help, whether he’s playing regularly or not.
If needed during the remainder of the Club World Cup, he will give his all once again. If not, he will leave the club he loves with the same quiet dignity he has shown for years.
Real Madrid will honour Vazquez with a ceremony worthy of his service, ensuring he receives the heartfelt send-off he deserves.
A true team player, Vazquez will always be remembered not just as a great servant of the club but as a lifelong Real Madrid supporter who lived his dream on the pitch.
