The Bianconeri look to bounce back from a humiliating group stage defeat
Two European titans will get their Club World Cup knockout campaigns underway on Tuesday as Real Madrid face Juventus in the round of 16.
Los Blancos have so far been largely uninhibited as they moved through the summer competition, only dropping points in a draw with Al Hilal as they topped their group.
They produced a statement win over RB Salzburg in their third group stage outing, cruising to a 3-0 triumph in a dominant performance.
Things have not been so straightforward for the Bianconeri.
It had all seemed to be going to plan as they opened the competition with a 5-0 win over Al Ain and a 4-1 defeat of Wydad AC, but they were humbled by Man City in their group stage closer, shipping five.
They will now face comfortably their toughest test of the season as they look to bounce back from that crushing defeat and square up to one of the tournament favourites.
Real Madrid vs Juventus is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
The match will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

According to reports in the Italian press, Kylian Mbappe is due to start after recovering from a nasty bout of gastroenteritis, for which he was hospitalised ahead of Los Blancos’ tournament opener.
Gonzalo Garcia proved a capable understudy, but seems set to return to the bench.
One would expect few changes to the Real Madrid lineup, which has been largely unchanged throughout the group stage, though Arda Guler’s involvement could be in question after he was hooked early against Salzburg.
There will be more upheaval in the Juventus camp, though, after Igor Tudor came under fire for his selection in the City defeat.
His star forwards, Kenan Yildiz and Francisco Conceicao, were both left on the bench, with Kephren Thuram and Andrea Cambiaso left out.
They should all be set to return on Tuesday, though, as Tudor will surely come out with all guns blazing.
Heading into this tie, Juventus will be looking to get their own back. Last week’s loss to Man City was many things, but chiefly it was profoundly demoralising. There is no rest for the weary, though, with Real Madrid right around the corner.
Juventus could not cope with City’s tight, tricky passing and free-flowing attacks in that tie, and, unfortunately, that is exactly what Real Madrid are good at. Due to face Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric, and Kylian Mbappe, the task will not be much easier.
The Bianconeri have their work cut out for them. If nothing else, they must look to avoid embarrassment.
Real Madrid to win, 2-1
This will be the first meeting between Real Madrid and Juventus since 2017-18, when Los Blancos knocked the Bianconeri out in the Champions League quarter finals despite losing the second leg 3-1.
