Luka Modric’s agent, Vladica Lemic, has stated that the experienced midfielder is likely to stay at Real Madrid as he considers the club his home.

Just a week ago, Lemic had admitted that nothing was certain, but recent conversations between the parties involved have brought significant changes.

“The most likely thing is that he will stay one more year and continue writing history,” said the footballer’s agent as quoted by MARCA.

“Real Madrid is the best club in the world and is led by the best president in the history of football.

“Modric is a Real Madrid fan who loves the club and considers it his home,” he added.

Modric’s future has been uncertain for a long time, but as the UEFA Champions League final approaches, reports indicate that Real Madrid are considering offering him and Toni Kroos new contracts.

A few days ago, the club had not made any moves regarding the continuity of Modric or Kroos, but that has now changed. Interestingly, Real Madrid have begun working on renewing both players’ contracts, and progress is already visible, especially in Modric’s case.

Modric is adapting to a new role

Modric’s role in the team has evolved this season, as he is no longer an automatic starter like he was for many seasons.
