Real Madrid star Vinícius was at the heart of an ugly scene during the club’s meeting with Valencia this evening.

This came after the Brazilian international reacted in angry fashion to the efforts of Stole Dimitrievski to return him to his feet.

After shot-stopper Dimitrievski pulled Vinícius up off the turf late in proceedings at Mestalla, the 23-year-old responded by lashing out.

Spotted by the VAR cameras directing his hands into the head and neck of Valencia’s no.1, Real Madrid’s star wide-man was shown a straight red card.

The drama, however, was not done there…

Amid mounting tensions between fans, players and officials alike, Vinícius required dragging from the field of play on the part of Antonio Rüdiger and his Real Madrid teammates, after lunging in the direction of the referee.

Turning attentions towards the scoreline, the two sides are currently deadlocked at a goal apiece at Mestalla, after Hugo Duro’s opener for Valencia was cancelled out by Luka Modrić.
