La Liga giants Real Madrid will be boosted by the return of a key member of the club’s attacking ranks to their starting XI for the club’s upcoming showdown with Atalanta.
That’s according to Blancos insider Edu Aguirre, who points towards Vinícius Jr. as the player in question.
Wide-man Vinícius is for his part of course fresh off a spell on the sidelines.
Owing to a muscular problem picked up during Real Madrid’s La Liga downing of Leganés last month, the Brazilian international was forced to sit out the club’s last four fixtures.
Amid a hit-and-miss stretch of form for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, it therefore came as a timely boost upon Vinícius being included in the travelling party bound for Bergamo on Tuesday.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ancelotti cast doubt on the 23-year-old’s readiness to start, hinting at a potential introduction from the bench.
If the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, though, then those of a Blancos persuasion need not fret.
As per the aforementioned Edu Aguirre, Vinícius will be in from the off when Real Madrid take to the pitch against Atalanta in the latest round of Champions League fixtures later this evening.
