A headline member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid on Friday night kept alive the most remarkable of streaks.

As much came owing to his appearance in the club’s meeting with Real Sociedad.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are fresh off extending their advantage atop the Spanish top-flight ever further, at the expense of Real Sociedad.

After making the trip to Anoeta, a solitary goal on the part of youngster Arda Güler just inside the half-hour mark ultimately proved enough to guide Los Blancos to all three points.

As alluded to above, though, match-winner Güler is not the only Real Madrid star to have turned heads owing to his exploits this evening.

So too, did Federico Valverde.

Midfielder Valverde was for his part introduced off the bench in San Sebastián, seeing out the final 20 or so minutes of his side’s latest victory.

And, in the process, the Uruguayan continued an incredible run.

Valverde has now featured in every single one of Real’s 47 fixtures in all competitions across the season to date.
