Real Madrid set €20m price-tag for midfield star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have made known their demands for a transfer-linked member of the club’s midfield ranks.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Dani Ceballos as the player in question.

The name of former Arsenal man Ceballos has remeerged as a prominent one in the transfer chatter surrounding Real Madrid over recent weeks.

This comes after new Blancos boss Xabi Alonso dropped a first hint that he is not a firm believer in the talents of the 28-year-old.

En route to the Spanish heavyweights being sent packing from the Club World Cup at the semi-final stage, Ceballos was afforded a grand total of just 71 minutes.

As much has culminated in fresh speculation pointing towards a potential incoming Bernabéu exit for the midfielder.

To date, Real Betis have been the club most heavily tipped to launch a move for Ceballos’ signature.

And as alluded to above, this week, the Verdiblancos have been made aware of the kind of sum likely to be required to coax their La Liga rivals into a sale.

As per a report from AS:

‘They’d only consider selling him for a figure around €20 million.’

As of yet, Real Betis have shown absolutely no intention of reaching such a sum, only willing to offer €5-10 million.
