In the aftermath of Real Madrid’s disheartening loss to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu, a heavy silence filled the dressing room.

The defeat in the Clásico was a tough blow for the team, and no Real Madrid players, even on Real Madrid TV, spoke to the media immediately following the match.

The only voices heard publicly were from head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who addressed reporters. This silence illustrated just how deeply the defeat resonated with the team.

Hours after the loss, though, key players began breaking their silence by sharing messages on social media, showing the classic resilience that Real Madrid has long been known for.

Vinicius’ message

Vinicius Jr. was the first to express his thoughts, posting shortly after condemning the racist insults directed at Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.

Alongside an image of himself embracing Ancelotti, Vinicius encouraged fans with a message of optimism and defiance, noting that Real Madrid will rise again, as they always do.

“We will be back as always. We are the BIGGEST CLUB, as you know,” he wrote.

What did Luka Modric say?

Following Vinicius, club captain Luka Modric added his own message on Instagram, urging the team and fans to stay strong.

Modric acknowledged the importance of learning from defeats and reassured supporters of his full confidence in the squad.

“It’s time to lift our heads, learn, work and push. Total confidence in this team. Hala Madrid,” he said.

Meanwhile, Fede Valverde, who has arguably been one of Real Madrid’s standout players this season, also took to social media.

He shared his perspective on resilience, expressing his determination to continue pushing forward despite setbacks.

“I will fall millions of times but I will always get back up. Because we are REAL MADRID and it is written in our history,” he wrote,

These personal messages from Vinicius, Modric, and Valverde reveal the collective mindset within Real Madrid’s ranks. Despite a painful loss, the team is prepared to regroup and rise above this moment, as it has done many times in its history.
