Real Madrid moved 10 points ahead of second-placed Girona in the LaLiga title race with a comprehensive victory away at Osasuna on Saturday.
Scorers: Budimir 7âČ, Muñoz 90+1âČ; VinĂcius JĂșnior 4âČ, 64âČ, Carvajal 16âČ, Brahim DĂaz 61âČ
Madrid took an early lead with their first attack of the match, when VinĂcius JĂșnior pounced on a loose ball and raced through on goal before coolly finishing past the goalkeeper.
But their lead lasted just three minutes, with Ante Budimir soon equalising for Osasuna from close range after Jorge Herrando picked him out with a cross.
Los Blancos then went back in front in superb fashion, when Federico Valverdeâs clever cut-back from the left byline was finished by Dani Carvajal with the outside of his boot.
The league leadersâ dominated after the break, and got a third goal just after the hour mark, when Valverde found Brahim DĂaz with a defence-splitting pass, and the Moroccan international finished calmly.
And a couple of minutes later it was 4-1. Valverde was again the provider, this time with his chest, and VinĂcius netted his second of the afternoon with a super finish from a tight angle.
Iker Muñoz did pull a goal back for Osasuna when he fired through Andriy Luninâs legs late on, but the points belonged to Madrid.
Substitute Arda GĂŒler almost added a fifth goal in the 93rd minute when he tried to lob the goalkeeper from just inside Osasunaâs half, but the Turkish youngsterâs effort agonisingly rattled the crossbar.
Girona will have the chance to cut Madridâs lead back to seven points when they take on Getafe later on Saturday.
