Real Madrid offered two young defenders by superagent Jorge Mendes – report | OneFootball

In Dean Huijsen, Real Madrid have secured the services of a young defender who could well define an era for them. Given Eder Militao’s shaky fitness record, however, the club undoubtedly needs a second world-class centre-back who can operate as a regular.

Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate, on that front, has been seen to be the administration’s priority. The player has one year left on his contract in England and the Merengues are working out possible solutions to sign him either this summer or the next.

Meanwhile, however, the CVs continue to flow into the offices of the Valdebebas with several agents offering the services of their clients to fill the void in central defence.

Mendes’ recommended duo

As relayed by Fichajes, the influential Portuguese superagent Jorge Mendes has now arrived at Real Madrid’s window offering the services of two of his clients who could fit Los Blancos’ demands – Antonio Silva and El Chadaille Bitshiabu.

The first player he offers is Antonio Silva, the young Benfica defender who has been linked with Real Madrid in the past as well.

Silva was one of the defenders linked with the club when they were in a centre-back crisis in January this season and the board saw him to be an ideal long-term bet.

He is now again available, but the men in white will have to shell out €30 million for his services.

The second player whose services have been offered by Mendes is the young RB Leipzig talent El Chadaille Bitshiabu.

Still just 20, the youngster is one of the top French talents and has already established himself as a regular in the Bundesliga team.

Last season, he made 13 starts and 21 appearances for the club with three clean sheets to his name in the process. He, too, is expected to be available for a fee of around €30 million.

It remains to be seen if Real Madrid consider a move for either of the two defenders offered by Mendes or continue to pursue Konate.
