Earlier in the summer, Kylian Mbappe put an end to a long transfer saga by finally signing for Real Madrid on a free transfer.

It wasn’t an easy process whatsoever and the player had to take a massive pay cut in order to make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

At the same time, Mbappe was also trying to maintain a relationship with PSG and had notably decided to write off some of his wages in order to lower the economic impact of his departure.

€100 million in unpaid wages

A recent report from ESPN, though, has revealed a shocking reality. It appears Mbappe, despite amicably writing off some dues, is owed almost €100 million in unpaid salary by PSG.

Mbappe’s lawyers claim PSG have not paid Mbappe the wages for April, May and June as well as the bonus for February.

This totals to a figure of almost €100 million, no thanks to his staggering salary at Paris Saint-Germain.

Although Mbappe did agree to write off some dues, the player’s camp believes there is no written and signed version of this agreement.

Mbappe lawyers chase PSG

In light of this, Mbappe’s lawyers are chasing Real Madrid and seek €100 million in the form of unpaid salaries. They have already sent the club formal notices.

PSG, though, have no desire to respond to the notice. The club maintain that the agreement was signed.

Mbappe, on the other hand, believes the agreement was void as soon as PSG stopped playing him from February to May.

It is advised that parties put forth their arguments in front of a tribunal in order to achieve a resolution.

But this legal battle is sure to significantly impact Mbappe’s relationship with his former club. Real Madrid, by extension, could be affected, as far as their relationship with the French champions is concerned.
