Real Madrid’s position across all competitions is in no way indicative of the team’s performances on the field.
After all, Los Blancos have lacked control of the midfield and have had serious defensive problems in recent months, all of which have led to the team looking highly fragile
While Carlo Ancelotti may manage to bridge the gaps this season, it is inevitable that signings come in during the summer transfer window with the defence and midfield being the priority positions.
Florentino Perez and Co., needless to say, have been closely monitoring several profiles who interest them for next season including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen in defence.
Nico Paz, one of the club’s own, however, has popped up as a serious target to reinforce the midfield especially given his stupendous form this season.
As relayed in a recent update by Fabrizio Romano, Los Blancos believe that Nico Paz is a special talent who has a high potential.

He has not only impressed with Como in the Serie A but also is a part of the Argentine national team – something which says a lot about his ability especially given that they are the reigning world champions.
It is further clear that Ancelotti is monitoring the player’s progress closely, especially given his affection towards the Italian league, and the player could well make a comeback to the club in June.
Speaking to the media earlier this month, however, Paz’s father hinted towards the star staying at Como for another year to continue growing. It now remains to be seen if the player changes his mind should Real Madrid return to the race.
So far this season, the 20-year-old midfielder has scored six goals and provided five assists in just 27 league appearances for Como and has established himself as a regular under Cesc Fabregas.
He has created seven big chances and averages 1.7 key passes per game.
