As per the Italian, it appears Real Madrd are in ‘love’ with Saliba and see him as a ‘superstar’.

Formerly of Saint-Etienne, Saliba has indeed emerged as one of the best defenders in the Premier League, having enjoyed immense success at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta.

The Frenchman is a key cog in Arteta’s defensive scheme, particularly because of his discipline and technical qualities.

As a matter of fact, Real Madrid admire Saliba so much that they consider the Arsenal star as the ‘Jude Bellingham of defenders’.

An ideal signing for Los Blancos?

Saliba can an ideal signing for Real Madrid for multiple reasons.

For one, the Frenchman is young and has time on his side. Given the leadership and maturity he has shown, he can be an excellent long-term defensive investment for Real Madrid.

Moreover, Saliba’s technical prowess and defensive organisation would make him an ideal long-term replacement for the likes of Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba.

That said, Saliba is likely to cost a fortune considering the fact that he is regarded as one of the best in the Premier League.

Keeping that in mind, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid are willing to break the bank for the services of the Frenchman next summer.
