Premier League giants Liverpool have been afforded some positive news on the personnel front, on the eve of their Champions League showdown with Real Madrid.
This comes amid confirmation that Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned to training alongside the rest of Arne Slot’s squad.
Right-back Alexander-Arnold has for his part spent the last few weeks on the sidelines, owing to a muscular injury suffered during a Premier League meeting with Aston Villa.
The England international, heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid for next season, was in turn labelled a major doubt to play his part against Los Blancos on Wednesday.
As alluded to above, though, on Tuesday, Alexander-Arnold’s chances of featuring on Wednesday took a significant step in the right direction.
This comes amid confirmation that the defender has rejoined group training with Liverpool.
Shot-stopper Alisson, and versatile frontman Diogo Jota, on the other hand, remain absent from the Reds’ ranks.
