Ransford Yeboah-Königsdörffer’s (23) transfer to OGC Nice has been thrown into doubt, according to a report from Nice-Matin.
Nice’s season gets underway when they face SL Benfica in the third round of UEFA Champions League qualifying on 6th August. However, before that all-important fixture, Le Gym had hoped to register a new recruit. With Evann Guessand still expected to depart before the closure of the window, Hamburg’s Yeboah-Königsdörffer had been lined up. It is hoped that the Ghanaian will provide competition for Terem Moffi, who, in the event of Guessand’s probable departure, would be the only recognised centre-forward, following Gaëtan Laborde’s exit earlier in the summer.
With a €6m agreement with Hamburg drawing closer, the player underwent his medical at Nice. However, that medical has now thrown the entire transfer into question. An unspecified issue was detected during Yeboah-Königsdörffer’s medical. The whole move risks falling through, potentially. Currently, there are further tests ongoing on the centre-forward.
