Celtic face Rangers in the final Glasgow Derby meeting of the season. Brendan Rodgers’ side secured their fourth successive title at Tannadice last weekend meaning that Celtic travel to Ibrox as Champions-elect.
Celtic won the first meeting of the season, winning 3-0, before winning on penalties in the Premier Sports Cup Final in December. Since then, Celtic were beaten by Rangers at Ibrox and then at Celtic Park. The manager and the team will be eager to stamp their authority on the fixture once more.
Celtic don’t the game with a couple of major injuries – Jota is out for between 6-9 months with a knee injury while Alistair Johnston is out with a hip concern. The Canadian Internationalist will miss the game but will hope to be back in the next few weeks to be in contention for the Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen. Kasper Schmeichel has stepped up his return but this game will come too soon.
Vil Sinisalo will start in goals. The Finnish Internationalist has impressed since coming into the team in the absence of Schmeichel.
Liam Scales and Cameron Carter-Vickers will start in the central pairing at Ibrox. Tony Ralston will start given Johnston’s absence while Greg Taylor will continue at left back.

Callum McGregor will start at the heart of the midfield having been a big miss in the game in March. The Celtic captain will likely be joined by Arne Engels and Reo Hatate in the midfield battle.
In attack, expect Adam Idah to start through the middle. Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kühn have had small knocks but are expected to start at Ibrox. Nick Walsh has been handed the whistle for the game at Ibrox. The 37-year-old has refereed four Glasgow Derby games with the last three games resulting in wins for Celtic.
Walsh will be supported by Frank Connor and Dougie Potter. Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Andrew Dallas is on VAR duties with Andrew McWilliam assisting.
The game kicks off at 12pm (Celtic Park Time).
Adam Idah scores at Ibrox in the 3-3 draw in April 2024.
There will be 2000+ Celtic fans in attendance for the first time since an agreement was reached over away supporters. Fans will have to be at Ibrox for 9:30 to be in the ground at 10:30, for safety.
The game will be shown on Sky Sports Footbalm with coverage from Govan starting at 11am. Chris Sutton will be relishing the opportunity to rub Celtic’s latest success in when he goes in front of the camera with Kris Boyd.
Celtic TV subscribers outside Britain & Ireland will be able to tune in to the club’s streaming service for the game. Join Paul Cuddihy and Peter Grant from 11:45am (Celtic Park Time) as they build up to the game which will kick off at 12noon.
