Josh Wilson-Esbrand and Richard Kone could be shrewd additions for Marti Cifuentes' side.
Queens Park Rangers have already conducted some business during the early stages of the January transfer window.
Ronnie Edwards joined the R's from Southampton on New Year's Day - and he looks set to be a very shrewd addition at Loftus Road.
He may have played in League One last season, but Edwards is one of the most promising centre-backs in the country and shouldn't have any problems making the step up to the Championship.
Edwards could even play a key role in guiding Marti Cifuentes' side to a respectable league finish at the end of the season - and it will be fascinating to see how he manages to perform in the second tier.
Below, we take a look at two other players QPR should be looking to sign in the very short term.
Josh Wilson-Esbrand has barely featured for Manchester City this season - and it seems inevitable that he will secure a loan move away from the Etihad Stadium during this window.
At 22, the left-back could benefit from making a permanent move away from the Premier League champions, but he signed a long-term contract in 2022, with his deal not expiring until 2027.
With this in mind, a loan move seems more likely, and QPR could benefit from making a move for the player, who has previous EFL experience from his time at Coventry City and Cardiff City.
Kenneth Paal may be a good option to have at left-back, but strength in depth is required and Wilson-Esbrand could actively compete for a spot in this position to push up standards.
The Man City defender will want regular playing time, so he wouldn't be short of motivation to do well and that can only be a good thing for the R's.
Zan Celar hasn't been as prolific in front of goal as he would have wanted this season - and a new striker could be needed. Not only could they benefit from a regular scorer in the short term, but it may also help them be successful in the longer term.
Wycombe Wanderers star Richard Kone has been a prolific figure for the Chairboys this season, even though he was a non-league player during the early stages of 2024.
And signing him in January could allow the R's to secure an affordable deal for the 21-year-old, before he potentially becomes out of reach.
He's a player that QPR's board may be willing to spend extra on, considering the potential he has and the fact he can be a lethal asset in front of goal.
The Ivorian has proved his worth in the third tier this season and you feel he will only improve when he gets more experience under his belt.
It may take him a little while to settle in, considering he would have to make a step up a tier, but he previously played for Athletic Newham, who are based in London.
A return to the capital could mean he settles in quicker, and if he does make the move to Loftus Road, it will be fascinating to see how he gets on.
