FC Barcelona are looking to strengthen their attack for the upcoming season, even though this was one of the strongest areas of their team in the last season.
The forward line of Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, and Lamine Yamal was one of the best attacking trios in Europe and helped their team win all the big domestic titles in Spain. However, the Catalans are looking to add more depth in this attack so these essential players can get regular rest.
For this purpose, their most desired target is the Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, who is keen to play for the Blaugrana side, but whose signing will still be difficult because of negotiations with Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Barcelona were also linked with the experienced forward Ivan Perisic recently, whom Hansi Flick wants in his squad to provide cover for Yamal and to bring more experience to his young team.
The player has a good relationship with the German manager, with whom he won the treble at Bayern Munich. Furthermore, as he can arrive for free, he is a good market opportunity for the Catlans.
However, Barcelona still need to start working immediately on his signing as Mundo Deportivo reports that PSV Eindhoven have offered him a two-year contract extension, and the player is close to accepting their offer.
The Croatian winger won the Eredivisie title with PSV last season, and across all competitions, played 35 matches, scoring 16 goals and providing 11 assists.

Barcelona believe that any move is possible for Perisic at this point in time. His wages are not expected to be a problem for the Catalan club, as the winger is looking to remain in top shape ahead of the World Cup 2026 and thus is primarily looking for an opportunity to continue playing at the highest level.
Thus, it remains to be seen where Ivan Perisic will be playing next season, but there is no doubt that he will be quite an exciting addition to the Barcelona squad.
