PSV near personal agreement with French Bundesliga defender | OneFootball

A personal agreement with SC Freiburg’s Kiliann Sildillia “doesn’t seem far off” for PSV, according to the Eindhovens Dagblad (via VoetbalPrimeur).

Sildillia is under contract with Freiburg until the summer of 2026, so this appears to be the German club’s last chance to collect a transfer fee for the 23-year-old Frenchman. Negotiations between PSV and Freiburg regarding the transfer fee have not yet begun, although a personal agreement “doesn’t seem far off,” they say.

PSV are still looking for a backup at right-back to Sergiño Dest. It was previously reported that Sildillia was being pursued for the position, and now technical director Earnest Stewart appears to be pressing ahead with his arrival. PSV’s management are currently in intensive discussions with the right-back and his entourage.

Sildillia progressed through the youth ranks at French club Metz, but in 2020 moved up to Freiburg’s reserves. In 2021, the defender was promoted to the Bundesliga club’s first team, where he made 22 appearances in the league last season.
