Over the summer, Paris Saint-Germain looked into various options to strengthen their attack for the 2024-25 season, with Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán emerging as a potential target.
In October, Eduardo Burgos of Diario AS reported that both Bayern Munich and PSG made offers for Durán during the summer transfer window, but Aston Villa turned them down. Manager Unai Emery reportedly sees the young forward as a future star.
Recently, Fichajes noted that PSG still view Durán as a key long-term investment to boost their attack. However, Aston Villa remains reluctant to part with one of their prized assets.
The English club sees significant potential in the 20-year-old and is not keen on accepting a simple swap involving Randal Kolo Muani. PSG may need to offer additional financial incentives to move negotiations forward, but no deal has been reached yet.

Fichajes reported on Thursday, citing sources close to the Parisian club, that the Ligue 1 side would be willing to present an initial offer of €60 million to begin negotiations with Aston Villa.
AreaNapoli.it also reported recently that PSG are said to be offering the Premier League attacker a salary of €7 million to €8 million per year if he decides to leave Unai Emery’s team and join them.
Luis Enrique is focused on reshaping PSG’s attack and has identified Durán as a target while planning to move on from Kolo Muani.
Durán has been in excellent form this season, scoring 12 goals, with his latest goal coming in Aston Villa’s 2-1 win over Manchester City at Villa Park, where he opened the scoring.
