Achraf Hakimi says that he will “never forget” his Serie A title with Inter Milan – but will “do everything to beat them” the Champions League final with PSG.

Speaking to France Televisions, via FCInterNews, the Moroccan gave his thoughts ahead of his first meeting with the team he spent a memorable 2020-21 season with in the biggest match of the campaign.

Paris Saint-Germain booked their place in the Champions League final earlier this month. They beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Parc des Princes, meaning that their semifinal tie ended 3-1 on aggregate.

PSG will meet Inter Milan in the final at the end of this month. The Nerazzurri overcame Barcelona in a spectacular semifinal tie that ended 7-6 on aggregate.

This will be the first time that Inter and PSG meet since a very notable transfer between the two clubs.

Fullback Achraf Hakimi joined PSG in the summer of 2021. Inter sold the former Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund man for a massive fee.

That was the first notable sale that Inter made during their period of pandemic-era financial instability.

Hakimi had spent just one season with the Nerazzurri. However, it had been a very memorable one, as he played a big role in Inter’s first Serie A title in eleven years.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old has established himself as one of PSG’s most important players.

Achraf Hakimi will face Inter for the first time as a PSG player next weekend.

The Moroccan called it “a very special moment.”

“It’s a Champions League final,” he went on. “It will be my first big European final with PSG.”

“It will be a very important moment,” Hakimi insisted. “Furthermore, it will be Inter against us.”

“I won’t forget having worn the Nerazzurri shirt,” said the 26-year-old. “Having won the Scudetto with them.”

“I’m happy to play against them,” added Hakimi.
