PSG Standout’s Brother Won’t Follow Him to Real Madrid, Will Stay in Ligue 1 | OneFootball

Kylian Mbappé’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June, and he will leave in a few weeks. The 2018 World Cup winner will join Real Madrid, while his brother Ethan Mbappé appears to be taking a different direction.

Previously, rumors were circulating that the younger Mbappé might follow his older brother to Real Madrid. However, the teenage midfielder recently clarified to a fan that he’s not heading to Real Madrid. Instead, he’s focusing on starting his journey as his football career unfolds.

Ethan’s contract expires in a few weeks, and while his brother is leaving France, he’ll remain in the country. According to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, an agreement has been reached between LOSC Lille and Ethan for him to join the rival Ligue 1 side as a free agent.

Moreover, the medical examination is already planned for, but it doesn’t reveal whether that’s before or after he becomes a free agent. Still, his departure will close a Mbappé chapter at PSG as both brothers leave and embark on different journeys, and continue their careers.
