According to Fichajes, Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has identified Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez as a key transfer target to reinforce an already stacked midfield.
After a highly successful season in charge of the French giants, Enrique is now focused on strengthening his midfield and sees Fermin as the perfect addition to complement his current midfield trio.
Despite the current midfield setup being solid and consistent, Enrique is reportedly looking for a player who can add something different—creativity, energy, and goals from midfield.
Fermin fits that description well. The 22-year-old enjoyed a strong campaign at Barcelona, recording eight goals and ten assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.
His ability to make an impact in the final third, combined with his work rate and positional intelligence, has made him one of the most exciting young talents in La Liga.

Barcelona are said to have placed a price tag of €80 million on Fermin, and while he is under contract until 2029, the Catalan club could consider letting him go for the right price.
Given Barça’s ongoing financial pressures and their aim to reshape the squad under Hansi Flick, a sale of this magnitude could be both financially helpful and tactically justified.
For now, it has been reported that Flick is against the idea of letting Fermin leave. However, given the midfielder’s demand and his ability to pull a significant transfer fee, Barcelona might not hesitate much.
Meanwhile, the young Spaniard has shown he can perform at the top level and has the potential to grow even further under Enrique, who already knows how to get the best out of creative midfielders.
It now depends on PSG’s board and whether they are willing to meet Barcelona’s demands. If they do, Fermin could become one of the marquee transfers of the summer, a rising La Liga star making the leap to a European powerhouse with Champions League ambitions.
