PSG sensation daringly claims he is better than Barcelona rising star Lamine Yamal | OneFootball

Ever since Paris Saint-Germain’s triumph in the UEFA Champions League last season, there has been a lot of chatter around Desire Doue and his comparisons with Lamine Yamal.

Over the past few months, Doue has received a lot of support owing to his Champions League triumph, so the coming season could go a long way in furthering the growing rivalry between these two players.

Desire Doue says he’s better than Yamal

However, heading into the new season, Doue appears to have already started playing the mind games by announcing himself as a better player.

Via TikTok, the PSG superstar was recently asked who he favours between him and Yamal, to which the forward didn’t even hesitate before saying (h/t SPORT), “Great question! It’s me!“

While Doue’s answer might have been largely rooted in what many call internet humour, it is clear that the PSG forward acknowledges the rivalry that is growing between him and Yamal.

As the new season comes, it will be interesting to see if Doue can elevate his game and truly compete with the numbers of Yamal, who was one of Spain’s most productive players in La Liga last season.

Doue, in comparison, is not only much older but could only score six times in La Liga last season with eight assists.

The Frenchman has certainly left many excited with his technical quality and ability to drift past opponents, but he needs to upgrade his game further if he is to be considered a real opponent for Yamal.
