The breakthrough came in the second half when Kjetil Haug stopped a near-post header from Willian Pacho off a corner kick. The ball deflected off the crossbar and fell to Fabian Ruiz, who was quick to react and slotted it home, giving PSG the lead and securing the win.

Despite only scoring one goal, the Parisians left with all three points in the tightly contest victory. Moreover, the team matched a fantastic feat that was done by AC Milan in the early 1990s as Stats du Foot highlighted.

PSG are unbeaten in their last 35 away matches in Ligue 1 (27 wins, eight draws), the second-longest away streak by a club in Europe’s top five leagues, behind AC Milan from 1991 to 1993 (38).

The Parisians will look to continue this dominance of France’s top flight under Luis Enrique next weekend when they travel to face Olympique Lyonnais at Groupama Stadium.
