According to a report from L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks to sign Lucas Chevalier (23) from Lille. The French goalkeeper is a long-standing target for Les Parisiens as they look to bolster their options between the posts.
The UEFA Champions League winners’ interest in Chevalier is no secret. PSG have been interested in acquiring the goalkeeper’s services for several months. However, the Ligue 1 champions have now acted upon their interest. The 23-year-old has reached an agreement on personal terms with the French capital club and will sign a 5-year contract with the club should a move materialise.
PSG have not yet entered into negotiations with Les Dogues, but are aware of the Ligue 1 club’s demands. Lille president Olivier Létang is set to demand a fee in the region of €40m for Chevalier’s services.
Gianluigi Donnarumma’s (26) future at the Parc des Princes still remains unclear, with his contract set to expire in 2026. Galatasaray have submitted an offer to sign the Italian international stopper, Foot Mercato understands, and PSG could be preparing for the former AC Milan keeper’s departure with the arrival of a new goalkeeper.
