Kang-in Lee’s injury during South Korea’s 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Oman has put a damper on Paris Saint-Germain during this FIFA international window.
Luis Enrique’s side was gaining momentum after impressive results against Liverpool and Olympique de Marseille. Now, that momentum comes to a halt as they prepare for their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie against Aston Villa.
Additionally, the timing of the break creates another concern—players leaving for international duty with the risk of returning injured.

Lee has left the South Korean national team camp due to an injury. The KFA announced he’ll be sidelined for about two weeks.
L’Equipe recently reported that the player injured his left ankle, which swelled up significantly after the impact. Lee is set to undergo imaging tests soon to assess the injury’s severity. Early signs aren’t promising, as he was seen leaving the stadium on crutches.
The PSG forward was helped off the pitch, hopping on one foot with assistance from a staff member. Once seated on the bench, he was visibly emotional, in tears.
