PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (26) has reached an agreement on personal terms with Manchester City, according to L’Equipe. The Italy international previously announced this Tuesday night that he would be leaving the Champions League winners on the back of his demotion from Luis Enrique’s training squad.

Despite his achievements during PSG’s run to the Champions League title, Donnarumma has been shown the exit door by PSG head coach Luis Enrique. “These are always difficult decisions to make, I can only say good things about Donnarumma, he is one of the best players in his position and he is an even better person. But we were looking for a different profile”, the Spaniard said in Udine, where PSG will lock horns with Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur for Wednesday’s Super Cup.

Les Parisiens proceeded to sign France international goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Ligue 1 rivals Lille OSC in a €55m package. L’Equipe adds that Donnarumma’s agent, Enzo Raiola, has been in talks with Manchester United and Manchester City for several months now. The Cityzens look to have the upper hand as Donnarumma has already exchanged with Pep Guardiola and agreed on personal terms with the Skyblues.

Regarding Donnarumma’s exit terms, PSG would reportedly command a transfer fee lower than the €55m package they agreed with Lille for Chevalier. City are reportedly waiting for Ederson’s exit to ramp up talks with PSG.
