PSG consider move for Lazio’s Mario Gila | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain are in the market for a right-sided centre-back this summer. As per Le Parisien, Lazio’s Mario Gila (24) is a player being considered.

PSG’s longest-serving player, Marquinhos, has just lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy. Last season, he was the subject of interest from Saudi Arabia, however, Les Parisiens weren’t selling. Their interest remains, and there was a sense that, with the outpouring of emotion in Munich, Marquinhos may have played his last game.

Regardless, L’Équipe understands that, if he is to stay at the Parc des Princes beyond the summer, his role will be slightly reduced. Recruiting a centre-back is, therefore, a priority for Luís Campos. Gila looks to be a prominent target, with Campos having already observed him on numerous occasions, according to Le Parisien. However, the publication adds that it is currently too early to tell whether he is the priority target for Les Parisiens.
