The Lilywhites are keen on a return for their former shot-stopping star.
Preston North End are eyeing up a summer reunion with Leicester City goalkeeper Daniel Iversen.
That's according to a report from journalist Alan Nixon reporting via Patreon on Easter Sunday.
The 27-year-old hasn't featured at all for the Foxes this season, and is out of contract at the King Power Stadium this summer.
According to figures from Capology - which must be stressed are an estimate - the Dane is understood to be earning £20,000-a-week for the soon-to-be Championship side.
As revealed by Nixon, the Lilywhites are keen on a summer reunion with Iversen.
Nixon's report states that he may well be open to a return to Deepdale too, and that he could well be Preston's potential Freddie Woodman replacement.
The North End keeper has been linked with a possible move to Manchester United this summer, who like Iversen, is also out of contract at the end of the season.
It's believed that whilst a deal for Iversen wouldn't come cheap due to his potential wage demands, Preston could be prepared to push the boat out for their former keeper if a move appears possible.
It's looking ever more likely that Preston will be searching for a new number one goalkeeper this summer, and they could surely do far worse than a return for Iversen.
The Dane proved to be a safe and reliable pair of hands in the Preston goal during his two loan spells with the club between January 2021-June 2022.
He's also racked up second tier experience with Stoke City, and he did make a handful of Premier League appearances for Leicester City during the 2022/23 campaign.
Given that he's shown himself to be a quality shot-stopper at Championship level, Iversen is surely a player that most second tier sides would be happy and confident with to have in between the sticks.
Therefore, should his wage demands be affordable, then Preston should surely do everything they can to secure his signature this summer, as he's sure to be not short of potential options.
He could be the long-term answer at the goalkeeping position that the Lilywhites are looking for should Woodman depart Deepdale at the end of the season.
