Prestia, Melgrati and Avitabile join Inter U23 | OneFootball

MILANO - FC Internazionale Milano is delighted to announce the permanent signings of Giuseppe Prestia from Cesena and free agents Riccardo Melgrati and Tommaso Avitabile.

Experience, leadership and defensive solidity: Giuseppe Prestia, a defender born in 1993, began his career playing youth football for Palermo, captaining their Primavera side. He then represented Ascoli, Crotone and Parma; with the latter, he made his Serie A debut. A dependable centre-back, Prestia has spent the last three seasons at Cesena, becoming captain of the side and forming a part of the best defence in Serie C in 2023/24. He also had a two-year stint in Romania and helped Alessandria to win the play-offs.

Riccardo Melgrati returns to Inter after years in our Youth Sector. Born in '94, the goalkeeper has gained a lot of experience in Serie B and C with storied clubs such as Cesena, Pro Vercelli and Lecco. Last season, he made 29 appearances for SPAL and then Lucchese.

Young, determined and already with bags of experience: Tommaso Avitabile is a 2006-born defender who developed at Fiorenzuola and Cremonese. In the last two seasons, he stood out in Serie D with Ciliverghe, with whom he played 36 games and scored two goals. Now, he is ready to wear the Black and Blue and continue his development here at Inter.
