Premier League star ‘not a priority’ for Barcelona amid ongoing transfer push | OneFootball

A fresh insight into the interest level of La Liga champions Barcelona in the signing of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has this week been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and confirms that the Blaugrana do not boast quite the same level of enthusiasm when it comes to a potential joining of forces as the player himself.

Wide-man Rashford has of course been linked with a move to Barcelona for some time now.

After the Blaugrana took into consideration a January loan swoop for the 27-year-old, he has since returned to the radar of Deco and co. this summer.

Rashford is himself understood to be actively pushing for a Camp Nou switch, ready to do whatever it takes to link up with Hansi Flick’s squad.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Tuesday is anything to go by, then Barcelona’s priorities appear to lie elsewhere.

Specifically, the Blaugrana are focused on landing Athletic Club standout Nico Williams.

After Aston Villa’s announcement that they do not intend to make Rashford’s loan arrival from Manchester United permanent, Barca were quickly tipped as a potential landing spot once more.

As per a report from MD, however, whilst the Camp Nou brass have not completely ruled out the operation:

‘As of today, Rashford isn’t among Barça’s priorities to bolster their forward line.’
