According to a fresh report from SPORT, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has expressed a strong desire to join Barcelona this summer, even if it means accepting a substantial pay cut.
With Barça still actively searching for a left winger, Liverpool’s Luis Diaz remains the primary target.
However, the Catalan club is not ruling out Rashford as a serious alternative due to two key factors: his clear willingness to don the Blaugrana shirt, and the potentially lower overall cost of bringing him in compared to Diaz.
Rashford, who currently commands a very high salary, has made it known that he is willing to adjust his wages in order to fit within Barcelona’s strict Financial Fair Play constraints.
As things stand, the club does not yet have the margin to register him, but this could change in the coming weeks if the right levers are pulled.

For now, Rashford’s attitude is being seen as a major boost in making the operation viable. In fact, Barcelona’s sporting leadership see Rashford’s age (27) as perfect for bridging youth and experience.
One option currently on the table is a loan with a purchase option, allowing Rashford to prove himself without the club making a large immediate financial outlay.
If he succeeds, Barça would then negotiate a permanent move. If not, both parties would part ways without significant losses.
Importantly, Rashford is so eager to play for Barcelona that he is reportedly willing to arrive without any promises of game time or guaranteed status, determined to earn his place purely through performance.
Lastly, Rashford is said to have already rejected several proposals from other top clubs. His message is that it is either Barcelona or nothing.
This attitude could place pressure on Manchester United, who may ultimately be forced to accept a loan deal, possibly even covering part of his wages, if Rashford refuses other destinations.
