Gameweek 23 looks a fascinating one in the English top flight, with some key fixtures taking place. We’ve previewed some of the high-profile clashes and put together our Premier League best bets, which can be found below.

Liverpool vs Ipswich

Liverpool qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League this week and return to domestic action on Saturday in search of their first home league win of 2025. The Reds are six points clear at the summit of the table having played one game less than their rivals, while Ipswich sit 18th, inside the relegation zone on goal difference. Slot’s side are 1/4 in the Premier League betting winner market heading into the weekend.

Best Bets for Liverpool vs Ipswich

Liverpool to Win to Nil (10/11 with Paddy Power)

Liverpool remain unbeaten in their last 17 top-flight games (W12 D5), with their only defeat this season coming back in September (0-1 v Nottingham Forest). In Arne Slot’s case, it’s the longest unbeaten run any Liverpool manager has had in their first League season with the club since William Edward Barclay, who avoided defeat in all 28 games in the Reds’ first-ever such campaign in 1893-94 (second tier).

In fact, Liverpool have won their last 10 Premier League home games against promoted sides by an aggregate score of 34-7 since a 1-0 loss to Fulham in March 2021. Three of their last five league wins have seen them shut out their opponents and backing them to win to nil looks the wise play here, considering they are just 1/9 in the match result market.

Axel Tuanzebe to be Carded (4/1 with Sky Bet)

I’ve also had a few quid on Axel Tuanzebe to be carded at 4/1 with Sky Bet. The defender has only started nine league games and should return to the starting XI on Saturday after returning from injury.

Prior to his injury, Tuanzebe had been booked in three of his last four league starts, immediately giving appeal to the 4/1 on show here. Tuanzebe will be the direct opponent of Cody Gakpo who will prove a tricky customer at Anfield. With the 27-year-old having spent eight years at Manchester United, there is an increased chance of a booking against one of his former rivals.

Wolves vs Arsenal

Arsenal know they cannot afford any more slip-ups if they are to put any pressure on Liverpool in the title race and on Saturday they travel to the Black Country to take on Wolves. The Gunners are unbeaten in their past six away league games since losing back-to-back matches against Bournemouth and Newcastle United. Wolves enjoyed a new manager bounce since replacing Gary O’Neil with Vitor Pereira. The Portuguese boss went unbeaten in his first three games, lifting Wolves out of the bottom three. However, that run now seems a long time ago and since then they are winless in four and have tasted defeat in their last three.

Best Bets for Liverpool vs Ipswich

Nelson Semedo to Commit 1+ Foul & to Win 1+ Foul (1/1 with Paddy Power)

The first selection I’m opting for is Nelson Semedo to commit one or more fouls, and for the Wolves full-back to also win one or more fouls. Paddy Power are best-priced at this selection, at even money via their bet builder.

This bet has landed in nine of Semedo’s last ten Premier League appearances. He has been booked seven times in the league this season and should be in for a good battle with Leandro Trossard.

Gabriel to Score a Header (17/2 with Paddy Power)

Gabriel averages 0.24 goals per 90 minutes for Arsenal this season and has scored in five of his 24 appearances. The Brazilian’s last eight top-flight goals have all arrived vis his head, and with this in mind, 17/2 for him to score via his swede against a side 17th in the table looks a great price.

Man City vs Chelsea

Defending champions Manchester City are all but out the title race and find themselves 12 points behind Liverpool having played one game fewer. Domestically, City have improved and are five unbeaten since Boxing Day (W3 D2), but they will have been disappointed to throw away a two-goal lead to PSG on Wednesday as they suffered a 4-2 defeat in Paris.

Chelsea appeared poised to challenge Liverpool for this season’s Premier League title, but their momentum has faltered significantly. After a promising five-game winning streak, the Blues went five games without a win, losing two and drawing three. Chelsea got back to winning ways on Monday with a 3-1 win over Wolves, but will face a much stiffer test as they travel to Manchester on Saturday.

Best Bets for Man City vs Chelsea

Kevin De Bruyne to Score or Assist (5/4 with Sky Bet)

A Premier League prediction for the match result looks a little tricky here. Instead, I’ve opted for a player-prop bet involving Kevin De Bruyne, who often loves playing against Chelsea.

De Bruyne has provided four assists in his last three top-flight games, including two against Ipswich last time out. The Belgian also has five Premier League goals against former side Chelsea, only netting more against Arsenal in the competition (8).

Moises Caicedo 2+ Fouls Won & Phil Foden to Score (8/1 with Paddy Power)

Only Cole Palmer (44) has been fouled more times for Chelsea in the Premier League this season than Moises Caicedo (32). This bet has landed in all of his last six matches across all competitions for Enzo Maresca’s men. His fouls won figures in that period read 2,2,2,2,2,2, and with that in mind, he looks a massive price at 7/4 as a single.

Phil Foden has scored in each of his last three Premier League games for Manchester City, netting five goals in total. He’s never scored in four consecutive league appearances before, but I’m backing him to do so against Chelsea, who have only won one of their last five in the league and have failed to keep a clean sheet in all of those.
