Portugal and Spain will meet this evening in the final of the UEFA Nations League in Germany.
The Iberian rivals go head-to-head for the trophy, with both sides in search of a second Nations League title.
Portugal eliminated hosts Germany in the last four, while Spain overcame France 5-4 in a thrilling semi-final tie. The latter are aiming to make it back-to-back Nations League crowns and extend an unbeaten run that has stretched since March 2024.
Francisco Conceicao is pushing for a start following his impact from the bench in midweek. The winger scored the equaliser in the comeback win over Germany, Portugal’s first win over the Germans since Conceicao’s father, Sergio, inspired a 3-0 success at Euro 2000.
Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the line again for the Portuguese after scoring his 137th goal for the national team against Germany. The 40-year-old has insisted he has no plans to retire, ahead of a potential sixth World Cup next summer.
Roberto Martinez selected a surprise team against Germany and the likes of Vitinha and Diogo Dalot could come in after starting on the bench in midweek.
