Portsmouth have announced the double signing of defender Jasmine Bull and goalkeeper Jess Gray.

Pompey revealed the news via posts on their official club website last night.

The club first announced the addition of defender Bull. The 22-year-old Scottish youth international returns to Portsmouth following a successful loan spell from former club Bristol City last season. Bull made 10 appearances for Portsmouth in the second half of the campaign, helping the club to significantly improve results and secure their survival. The defender is a former Barclays WSL2 title-winner from her time with Bristol City.

Pompey quickly announced their second signing in the form of goalkeeper Gray. The 24-year-old stopper joins Portsmouth after leaving former club Charlton Athletic earlier this summer. Gray spent three years with the South East Londoners in which she made 22 appearances for the club in all competitions. When given the opportunity to play, Gray never let Charlton Athletic down and the club were keen to keep her for this season. The player rejected the offer of a new deal to move to Portsmouth.

Bull and Gray are Portsmouth boss Jay Sadler’s first additions of the summer transfer window. Sadler is expected to add further Barclays WSL2 experience to his squad as the summer goes on.
