Paul Pogba assures he ‘will always love Juventus’ after resuming his career with AS Monaco, but feels only Andrea Agnelli and Giorgio Chiellini really stood by him during his doping ban.
The midfielder signed a two-year contract with Monaco as a free agent last week, having been released by Juve in November 2024.
Following a series of injuries, he failed a drug test in August 2023 and was given a four-year ban for doping, which was reduced on appeal to 18 months in October 2024.

Having previously complained that Juventus had not shown him sufficient “support” during the two-year ordeal, Pogba struck a more conciliatory tone during today’s press conference.
“I always loved and always will love Juventus. This club helped me become what I am today,” said the France international.
“Many things happened, some people have their own way of doing things. There were some things I liked, others that I did not.
“I will never disrespect the club. I am happy today and I think they are too. So let us look forward, without wanting to wage battles.”

Pogba also pointed out that the previous President, who left during a financial irregularities scandal in 2022, was one of the few at Juventus that continually stood by him.
“Agnelli sent me messages and would call me up, this is called support. When you do not receive calls from people within the club, you do not have support.
“I am not saying it is the wrong way of doing things, just a different way of seeing them. Chiellini, who arrived later, sent me messages, as did other Bianconeri players.”
The 32-year-old is hoping to revitalise his career at AS Monaco after two different stints at both Juventus and Manchester United.
“I said a year ago that I was not dead. Now I am thinking about the future and not the past.”
