By signing with Manchester United for a staggering €81 million, Bryan Mbeumo has shattered records, becoming the most expensive Indomitable Lion in history.

After a brilliant campaign last season with 20 goals and 7 assists in 38 matches, the 25-year-old capped off a six-year adventure with Brentford in style.

By putting pen to paper, he not only became the sixth most expensive signing in Red Devils history, but also the number one among Cameroonian players.

The Avallon native surpasses André Onana, who moved from Inter Milan to Manchester United in 2023 for a fee of €50 million.

Next in the ranking are Carlos Baleba (from Lille to Brighton in 2023), Samuel Eto’o (from Mallorca to Barça in 2004, and from Inter Milan to Anzhi Makhachkala in 2011). Each of these three transfers is valued at €27 million.
