Pierre Sage’s job at Lyon comes under threat ahead of John Textor visit | OneFootball

RMC Sport understands that Pierre Sage’s position at Olympique Lyonnais is coming under threat. The report comes in the wake of Lyon’s failure to beat FC Nantes in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

OL have now failed to win their last five games in all competitions. Even prior to the match against Nantes, there was plenty of scrutiny on Sage, who himself admitted that he was coming under pressure for his side’s recent dip in form, which has seen them cede ground in the race for European places.

However, that scrutiny has now intensified to levels not previously seen during the Frenchman’s reign, as per RMC Sport. Owner John Textor will be in Lyon in the coming hours, a scheduled visit granted, but one that is now eliciting some concern internally, with some believing that the American owner has already come to a decision regarding the future of the under-fire Sage.
